This is the place where I work.
For more than thirty years, I have entered worlds that invited deep attention.
Bedouin communities in Sinai. Women carrying extraordinary inner landscapes. Nubian villages holding memories, songs, and ancestral knowledge. Founders, artists, and cultural leaders searching for the language that allows their vision to enter the world.
My films emerged through arrival, presence, deep listening, and the patience to remain until something essential revealed itself.
Over time I recognised something simple:
The filmmaker and the guide share the same gesture.
They listen.
They observe.
They wait.
They witness.
The Lotus-Born Heart grew from this recognition.
It is where filmmaking, embodied presence, mythology, creative perception, and the wisdom of the Nubian Nile meet as one living practice.

The Nile taught me that every life carries its own rhythm.
The work is to listen deeply enough to recognise that rhythm.

We meet online for ninety minutes.
You bring the question, the threshold, the longing, or simply the feeling that something is ready to emerge.
My work is to accompany your seeing.
Within a few days, you receive a personal reflection in writing, an audio transmission, or both. It is created especially for you.

About Ima
About Ima
I am an Egyptian filmmaker, author, and cultural practitioner.
For more than three decades, I have worked where image, story, myth, and human experience meet. My films have received international recognition, including the Special Jury Prize at the Dubai International Film Festival for NOMAD'S HOME, a UNESCO nomination at FESPACO, and a Muhr Arab Award nomination for EGYPTIAN JEANNE D'ARC.
I hold an MA from The Fletcher School and was honoured as an Iconic Woman by the Women Economic Forum.
Living beside the Nubian Nile has become the deepest apprenticeship of my life. The community there gave me the name Kendaka, and the river continues to teach me the rhythm of unfolding.
Every film, every book, every gathering, and every encounter has grown from one enduring question:
What becomes visible when another human being is received with complete presence?
The Lotus-Born Heart is my living response.
